Please ensure you have completed Steps 1 and 2 for Pop Ups before this stage.
Step 2 - Design and Configure your Pop Up
Now you have your Pop Up created you can set up the rules on how you can put this live on your website.
In the Websites section on the left hand navigation, you can chose the website you require this Pop Up to be shown on.
You will need to have configured your website into the system already.
Please see our help article on how to configure your website on this, you may need to ‘edit’ an already configured one or you may need to create a new one.
To add your Pop up simply go to the edit button on your already configured website.
Then scroll to the drop down at the side of Pop Ups
Then click the ‘Add’ button
Here you can then give your Pop Up a Name and also select the template from your Pop Up Library.
You can then set the triggers for the Pop up to display.
Options you have are below.
- Anonymous – We do not know who the contact is or there is no cookie present
- Query String – You can use the query string function to search the URL. So could look for a utm_campaign=test (For example) You can also use multiple strings equal and not equal
- Marketing List – We can specify the Pop up to show if your in or not in a particular list
- Page – You are on a certain URL of your website
- Dwell Time – You are on for a certain length of time before the Pop Up will appear
- Current Day – Specify a certain Day of the week to show
- Current Time - Specify time of the week
- Current Date - Specify a certain Date
- Current Date Time - Specify a certain Date and time to show.
You may use one or multiple options here to present your Pop up to your contacts. See an example below.
So, you may have various Pop ups to show for different audiences and trigger in different ways. You can set the criteria in which you would like this Pop Up to show.
Once happy with this click the create Pop up button and you can make the Pop up active and then push the changes to your website to go live.
