To prevent unwanted formatting in your email templates, we recommend using the text cleaner!
Why do I need to clean my text?
Copying and pasting text from an external source can carry over unwanted code or content, which can alter the formatting of the email so that the text is not displaying how you would like.
It is important that if this happens, the text is put through the text cleaner so that any unwanted formatting can be removed.
What does the 'Paste from Word' option do?
This option within the email builder allows you to paste content from word directly into the template, with you at the wheel choosing whether you want to retain the original documents formats, or completely remove them.
How do I use it?
To use the tool, simply click on the option 'paste from word' and it will open a new pop out on your current tab. You can then paste your content into the box, and choose whether you want to keep formats, or remove.
What is the text cleaner?
The text cleaner can be found here: Force24 | Web Tools for easier Marketing.
To use it, you need to just pop in the text that has unwanted formatting into the box on the left hand side;
And the clean text will populate in the right hand side box. You can copy it easily using this button at the bottom of the right hand box.
Once this has been done, you will be able to copy the text back into your email and any issues with formatting will be resolved!

Yes ! The below screenshots show externally copied content before it was cleaned, and after.
This is what the email looked like before going through the text cleaner. As you can see, there is lots of excess spacing which is unwanted formatting that has carried over.
And this second screenshot shows the email after it has been through the text cleaner. The excess spacing has been removed and it looks better from an aesthetic point of view.
