Mask From Email Address Feature
The "Mask From Email Address" feature in Force24 allows you to use a personalised email address (e.g., john.doe@companyname.co.uk) in the "From" field of your emails, instead of a generic marketing address. This approach fosters trust, makes your communications feel more personal, and increases engagement with your recipients.
How It Works
Visible "From" Address
When recipients receive your email, they will see the personalised address you’ve chosen (e.g., john.doe@companyname.co.uk) in the "From" field. This helps create a more personal connection and increases the likelihood of engagement.
Authenticated Sending Domain
Although the "From" address is personalised, Force24 sends the email through its authenticated domain (e.g., email.companyname.co.uk) or your verified domain. This ensures compliance with essential protocols like SPF, DKIM, and DMARC, which protect against spam filters and improve deliverability.
Deliverability Optimised
Force24’s trusted sending reputation ensures that your emails land in the recipient’s main inbox rather than the spam or promotions folder, ensuring they’re seen by your audience.
Reply Handling
Any replies to your email will be routed to the personalised "From" address (e.g., john.doe@companyname.co.uk), with headers configured for smooth, seamless communication.
SPF and DMARC Configuration
To ensure that your emails are fully validated by recipients’ email servers, make sure your root domain has valid SPF and DMARC records. This helps ensure that emails sent from Force24 with a personalised "From" address are trusted and delivered successfully.
Example Use Case
If you are a recruitment company, you could make your emails appear as if they’re sent directly from an individual (e.g., john.doe@companyname.co.uk). This approach not only builds trust but also personalises the communication, which can lead to higher response rates.
Sending From Subdomain Without Mask From
Without using the "Mask From" feature, emails sent from your Force24 subdomain (e.g., comms.companyname.co.uk) will appear as:
[From Name] hello@comms.companyname.co.uk
You can customise the "From Name" to match your campaign, such as:
- John Smith hello@comms.companyname.co.uk
- Company Name hello@comms.companyname.co.uk
Replies can be directed to any email address within your domain (e.g., a group inbox like marketing@companyname.com or an individual’s inbox).
Using the Mask From Feature
When using the "Mask From" feature, emails will appear as though they’ve been sent directly from your main domain (e.g., @companyname.co.uk). Here’s how you can set it up:
Thought Leadership or Value-Led Content
Use a personalised "From Name" (e.g., John Smith) and direct replies to a group inbox (e.g., marketing@companyname.co.uk) for efficient triage.
Example: John Smith marketing@companyname.co.uk
To add authenticity, include a personalised signature (e.g., from John Smith) in your email template.
Outreach-Style Emails
For more personal communications, like client or candidate outreach, keep the replies routed to the sender’s personal address (e.g., john.smith@companyname.co.uk).
Example: John Smith john.smith@companyname.co.uk
This ensures that responses are handled personally and efficiently, enhancing your communication efforts.
